Former Internal Revenue Commission chief Mortimer Caplin turned 100 years old on Monday. But you might not know it from the Caplin & Drysdale’s founder’s busy schedule over the past few weeks.

There were interviews with The Washington Post, National Public Radio and others. And there was a party last week at his namesake Washington firm, where each attendee wore one of 100 specially made teal bow ties, inspired by Caplin’s signature look and the color palate of the firm’s logo.
