A recent graduate of New York Law School is suing her alma mater, claiming the school did not adequately discipline a classmate who assaulted her on campus and later thwarted her efforts to transfer to a different school.

Theresa Bailey, who graduated last month from the school’s part-time program, said in an interview Thursday that she is seeking the $280,000 she paid for tuition and changes in how the school responds to student safety complaints.
