Neel Chatterjee of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe ended his closing argument in the MobileIron case last year with a photo of the company’s co-founder Suresh Batchu, flanked by employees and his young children, all looking jubilant while celebrating the startup’s initial public offering.

The image allowed jurors to connect with Orrick client MobileIron Inc., a mobile-device software maker, said Chatterjee, an intellectual property litigation partner and the former global chairman of Orrick’s IP litigation practice. “You could feel Suresh’s warmth as a family guy who wanted his children to celebrate his success.”
