The Libertarian Party has filed a lawsuit against the state of Connecticut challenging laws on petition signature gathering to place candidates on election ballots. At issue is a provision requiring that Connecticut residents gather the signatures.
A national effort by the Libertarians has led to the overturning of similar laws in 11 other states and the District of Columbia.
