Hirschler Fleischer’s combination makes it a record year in which law firms have swept up smaller groups and boutiques. Legal industry consultant Altman Weil has tallied 87 law firm mergers so far this year not including Hirschler Fleischer and Leach Travell.
With Hirschler Fleischer counted, the 88 law firm mergers this year would match Altman Weil’s previous record count in 2013 of 88 mergers and acquisitions.
