Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson provides communications technology and services around the world, and in the United States through its Ericsson Inc. subsidiary.

The Stockholm-based company was founded in 1876 and employs 115,000 people; general counsel Nina Macpherson said the hiring trend has been up by around 3 percent from last year. The company has customers in 180 countries and its networks claim a 40 percent of the world’s mobile communications traffic. Ericsson posted net sales revenue of $33.1 billion in 2014.
