A consumer class action in California state court claims Anheuser-Busch’s Bud Light Lime ‘Rita drinks aren’t “light” but instead have more carbohydrates and calories than any other beer or alcoholic beverage the company produces.

Plaintiff Sheila Cruz filed the complaint in the Superior Court of California in the County of Los Angeles on Nov. 12, claiming Anheuser-Busch’s alleged deceptive advertisements led her to mistakenly believe she was buying a low calorie beverage when she purchased a Lime-A-Rita labeled with the Bud Light logo.
