Consumers have filed a class action lawsuit against Apple Inc. in California federal court, claiming a graphics defect in the company’s 2011 MacBook Pro laptops result in software shutdowns and system failures that eventually render the computers unusable.

Plaintiffs Zachary Book, Donald Cowart and John Manners sued the giant computer company in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, accusing Apple of violating federal and state unfair competition and consumer laws and breaching express and implied warranties.
