Scoring multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements for the catastrophically injured constitutes most of the 18-lawyer firm’s caseload. However, Gair Gair attracted recent attention for an entirely different type of case. Managing partner Ben Rubinowitz’s work as co-counsel helped Luis Gonzalez, presiding justice of the New York State Supreme Court Appellate Division, First Department, win vindication in a state Commission on Judicial Conduct probe in 2012. The commission alleged that Gonzalez had hired a no-show employee and misrepresented his residency for tax credit.
