What’s good for the community is good for corporate counsel at Lib­erty Mutual Insurance Co. In providing free legal services to low-income housing residents, domestic abuse victims, the homeless and others, about 60 percent of the insurance company’s 77 Boston-based lawyers participate in pro bono work, said senior corporate counsel Kathleen McGrath, who runs the pro bono program.

In offices across the country, the company’s lawyers log around 1,100 hours pro bono hours annually.
