Convicted ex-lobbyist Jack Abramoff is challenging the federal government’s seizure of nearly $450,000 in federal tax refunds.

Abramoff spent nearly four years in jail and was at the center of a sprawling government corruption investigation. He was ordered to pay more than $23 million in restitution in the corruption case in Washington and more than $21 million in a fraud case in Florida. Since his release from prison in 2010, he’s been making the required payments, according to his lawyers.
