Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher (Los Angeles): Caitlin Halligan joins the firm’s appellate group as partner in the New York office and will focus on appellate litigation. Previously, Halligan was general counsel to the New York County, N.Y., district attorney’s office.

Jackson Walker (Dallas): Drew Darby joins the firm’s real estate and energy practices as of counsel and will work with the firm’s Austin and San Angelo, Texas, offices. He will focus on issues related to real estate, energy, water law and commercial transactions. Previously, Darby was a partner at his own Darby Law Firm.

Kaye Scholer (New York): Philip Giordano joins the firm’s antitrust practice as counsel and will split his time between the Washington and Palo Alto offices. Previously, Giordano served as a trial attorney in the national criminal enforcement section of the Department of Justice Antitrust Division.


Berger Singerman (Miami): Don Hayden joins the firm’s dispute-resolution team as partner in the Miami office and will focus on international disputes. Previously, Hayden was a partner at Baker & McKenzie.

Briggs and Morgan (Minneapolis): Robert King Jr. joins the firm’s trial team as partner in the Minneapolis office and will focus on tort cases and civil matters. Previously, King was a partner at Lommen Abdo Cole King & Stageberg.

DLA Piper: Jeremiah Sullivan joins the firm’s corporate and finance practice as partner in the Boston office and will focus on mergers and acquisitions, investment and corporate finance. Previously, Sullivan was a partner at Goodwin Procter.

Flaster/Greenberg (Cherry Hill, N.J.): Marcy Hart joins the firm’s real estate practice as partner in the Philadelphia office and will focus on acquisition, development, financing, repositioning and disposition of real estate. Previously, Hart was a partner at Askot Weiner & Cohen.

Haynes and Boone (Dallas): Anthony Pierotti joins the firm’s real estate practice as partner in the Irvine, Calif., office and will focus on real estate development, acquisitions and sales, joint ventures, finance, tax and land use. Previously, Pierotti was a partner at Irell & Manella.

Jones Day: Marielle Daudt and Franck van Uden join the firm’s labor and employment practice as partner and counsel, respectively, in the Amsterdam office and will focus on labor law matters. Previously, Daudt was a partner and van Uden was counsel at Baker & McKenzie.

Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo (Boston): Kenneth Appleby joins the firm’s tax practice as partner in the Boston office and will focus on tax matters covering various industries. Previously, Appleby was a partner at Foley & Lardner.

Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr (Dallas): Daniel Pipitone and Kenneth Bullock II join the firm’s as partner in the Houston office. Pipitone will focus on maritime law and Bullock will focus on energy and maritime matters. Previously, Pipitone was a partner and Bullock was senior counsel at Chamberlain Hrdlicka.

Perkins Coie (Seattle): Dean Harvey joins the firm’s technology transaction and privacy practice as partner in the Dallas office and will focus on technology and business process-related commercial transactions and data privacy and security. Previously, Harvey was a partner at Andrews Kurth.

Saul Ewing (Philadelphia): Robert Clothier joins the firm’s higher education and commercial litigation practices as partner in the Philadelphia office and will represent colleges and universities in matters related to defamation, privacy, employment and discrimination, as well as copyright and trademark issues. Previously, Clothier was a partner at Fox Rothschild.

Sedgwick (San Francisco): Robert Towey joins the firm’s commercial litigation practice as partner in the Newark office and will advise clients in the manufacturing and service provider industries about litigation matters. Previously, Towey was a partner at Lowenstein Sandler.
