A key causation witness for plaintiffs who allege Zoloft caused birth defects is not limited to testifying to the four corners of her expert report, plaintiffs attorneys argued in a court filing.

Dr. Anick Berard, a perinatal epidemiologist, testified during a Daubert hearing held last week by U.S. District Judge Cynthia Rufe. Following the hearing, both the plaintiffs and the defendant drugmakers filed court papers on the scope of Berard’s testimony.
