When most people are fired from their jobs, it means poor performance. But for some general counsel, being let go may be a badge of honor.
The recent turnover of in-house counsel at major companies has prompted several observers to comment. For example, in February, Wellpoint Inc. let go veteran general counsel John Cannon in a surprise move.
