Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly reported that chief counsel Ellen Rosenthal was not told in advance of a letter that her former employer, Pfizer Inc., sent to its regular law firms about changes to its preferred firm network. In fact, Rosenthal was aware of the letter’s contents.

The shake-up in the Pfizer Inc. law department continues under new general counsel Douglas Lankler, with the removal of Ellen Rosenthal. She served as chief counsel for the Pfizer Legal Alliance (PLA), a select group of 15 law firms that represent the company.
