Jessica Armijo joins the education practice in the Irvine, Calif., office. Armijo focuses her practice on education law. Armijo received her J.D. from Southern Illinois University School of Law in 2012. Lisa Carrillo joins the labor and employment practice. Carrillo focuses her practice on labor and employment law. Carrillo received her J.D. from Stanford Law School in 2011. And Gilbert Castro joins the education law practice group in the Pleasanton, Calif., office. Castro focuses his practice on education law. Farella Braun + Martel (San Francisco): Three attorneys join the firm as associates. Alexis Petas joins the tax group. Petas focuses her practice on counseling publicly traded and privately held companies on mergers and acquisitions, international tax matters and corporate and partnership tax law. Previously, Petas was an associate at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman. Petas received her J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 2007. Jacqueline Swigler joins the business transactions group. Swigler focuses her practice on advising publicly traded and privately held companies in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, public and private equity transactions, technology and licensing, and general corporate governance. Previously, Swigler was an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell. Swigler received her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2010. In the firm’s St. Helena, Calif., office, Jake Storms joins the real estate and land-use department and wine industry group. Storms focuses on environment and natural resources, land-use and wine industry matters. Previously, Storms was an associate at Stoel Rives. Storms received his J.D. from the University of California Davis School of Law in 2010.

Gruber Hurst Johansen Hail Shank (Dallas): Laura Fontaine joins the firm as an associate. She represents plaintiffs and defendants in the financial services, banking, insurance and energy sectors in commercial litigation and bankruptcy. Previously, Fontaine was an associate at Vinson & Elkins. She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2008.

Kaufman & Co. (Cleveland): Three associates join the litigation team. Lorraine Gaulding focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation and professional/fiduciary liability matters. Previously, she was an associate at Thompson Hine. Gaulding received her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2008. Brendan Kelley focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and intellectual property matters. Previously, Kelley was an associate at Schuster & Simmons. Kelley received his J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2004. And Ashtyn Saltz focuses on complex commercial litigation, intellectual property matters and employment disputes. Saltz received his J.D. from Case Western University School of Law in 2012.

Plunkett Cooney (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.): Adele Jorissen joins the firm’s health care industry group as an associate. Jorissen focuses her practice on health care law. Previously, Adele was an associate at Butzel Long. Jorissen received her J.D. from Ave Maria School of Law in 2007.

Polsinelli Shughart (Kansas City, Mo.): Sandra Herrera joins the firm as an associate in the Los Angeles office and will focus on real estate development and real estate transactions. Herrera received her J.D. from Stanford Law School in 2005.

Quarles & Brady (Milwaukee): Corbin Morris joins the firm’s tax-exempt organizations and corporate services practice group as an associate in the Chicago office. Morris focuses his practice on tax and corporate issues. Morris received his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2011.

Nelson Levine Deluca & Hurst (Blue Bell, Pa.): Christopher DiIenno has been promoted to partnership at the firm. Dilenno focuses his practice on privacy and data security issues. DiIenno received his J.D. from Temple University’s James E. Beasley School of Law in 2007.

Podhurst Orseck (Miami): Ramon Rasco has been promoted to partnership at the firm. Rasco focuses on plaintiff’s personal injury and wrongful death litigation, including aviation and motor vehicle litigation, as well as commercial litigation, class actions and multidistrict litigation. Rasco received his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2002.
