Ballard Spahr (Philadelphia): Rosetta Packer joins the firm's business and finance department as partner and will focus on commercial and real estate workouts and related state and federal litigation. Previously, Packer was a partner at McCarter & English.

Carlton Fields (Tampa, Fla.): Robert Zinn joins the firm's corporate, securities and tax practice group as partner in the Miami office and will focus on mergers and acquisitions and representation of closely held companies. Previously, Zinn was a partner at Akerman Senterfitt.

Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton (New York): Richard Kreindler joins the firm's international arbitration and litigation practice as partner in the Frankfurt, Germany, office and will focus on arbitrating commercial and investment-treaty disputes. Previously, Kreindler was a partner at Shearman & Sterling.

Cozen O'Connor (Philadelphia): Jahan Islami and Matthew Steinberg join the firm as partners. Islami joins the corp­orate practice group in the Miami office and will focus on transactions and general corporate matters. Steinberg joins the commercial litigation group in the Los Angeles office and will focus on business litigation matters. Previously, Islami was a partner at K&L Gates and Steinberg was a partner at Greenberg Traurig.

Foley & Lardner: Marc Morley joins the firm's intellectual property department and chemical, biotechnology and pharmaceutical practice as partner in the San Diego and Del Mar, Calif., offices and will focus on intellectual property matters. Previously, Morley was a partner at Knobbe, Martens, Olson & Bear. Additionally, Mark Mandel joins the litigation department and securities enforcement and litigation practice as partner in the New York office and will focus on securities litigation and enforcement matters. Previously, Mandel was a partner at Schulte Roth & Zabel.

Jeffer, Mangels, Butler & Mitchell (Los Angeles): Patrick Ryan joins the firm as head of the antitrust practice in the San Francisco office and will focus on commercial litigation and counselling. Previously, Ryan was a partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius.

Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck (Wood­bury, N.Y.): Christopher Nucifora rejoins the firm as co-managing partner in the Hackensack, N.J., office and will focus on commercial litigation. Previously, Nucifora was a partner at Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf.

K&L Gates: Kevin Christmas joins the firm's corporate mergers and acquisitions practice as partner in the Charlotte, N.C., office and will focus on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and restructuring transactions. Previously, Christmas was a partner at Reed Smith. Additionally, David Lindsay joins the labor, employment and workplace-safety practice as partner in the Raleigh, N.C., office and will focus on employment litigation, class actions, international employment and wage-and-hour matters. Previously, Lindsay was a partner at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton.

Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy (New York): John Williams joins the firm's financial-institutions practice as partner in the New York office and will focus on transactional and regulatory work related to financial derivatives. Previously, Williams was a partner at Allen & Overy.

Winstead (Dallas): Greta Cowart joins the firm's taxation, employee benefits and private-business practice group as partner in the Dallas office and will focus on employee benefits compliance. Previ­ously, Cowart was a partner at Haynes and Boone.
