CoreLogic Inc. is an Irvine, Calif.-based provider of residential property data and real estate services to businesses and government. The company generates about 40 percent of its estimated $1.6 billion in revenue from the 10 largest U.S. mortgage originators, according to public filings. Wells Fargo & Co. accounts for about 10 percent alone.

Among its properties is the popular Case-Shiller Index of residential property values. According to general counsel Terry Theologides, the residential mortgage business makes up about two-thirds of its business.
