But Johnson, a solo practitioner in Spokane, does the math differently: "I'm one for one, I guess" which means he has filed one petition for certiorari in his 30-year legal career. Last week the court granted review in that case, proving that even in a court where elite specialists and large firms dominate, a solo from Spokane can sometimes join the club.
