Previously, all were associates in the Washington office. Gould, who focuses his practice on drug-price reporting obligations and the federal anti-kickback statute, earned his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Katerberg, a member of the litigation group, focuses his practice on class actions, appeals and constitutional and international law. He earned his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law. Luk, a member of the litigation practice group, focuses on business, securities and enforcement litigation and white-collar criminal defense. He earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School. Otum, a member of the environmental practice group, focuses her practice on complex environmental litigation and regulatory compliance counseling. She earned her J.D. from Howard University School of Law. Pfaffenroth, a member of the antitrust and trade regulation practice, focuses on antitrust litigation and government regulation. She earned her J.D. from Stanford Law School. Rumsey focuses her practice on environmental litigation and counseling, specifically remedial issues. She earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

CROWELL & MORING

Cedric Tan, 38, Neil McCarthy, 50, and Kristin Cooklin, 37, have joined Crowell & Moring in the intellectual property group in Washington. Tan and Cooklin were previously partner and associate, respectively, at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton. McCarthy was a solo practitioner. Tan, who joins as a partner, focuses his practice on IP litigation for clients in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. He earned his J.D. from Tulane University Law School. McCarthy, who joins as senior counsel, represents generic pharmaceutical companies in patent matters related to the abbreviated new drug application. He earned his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law. Cooklin, who joins as counsel, focuses on patent infringement litigation for clients in the biotechnology, chemical, mechanical and pharmaceutical fields. She earned her J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law.
