The U.S. Justice Department has asked a federal judge to keep secret photos showing the death of Osama bin Laden, saying the images are classified because of their potential to incite violence against the United States. Judicial Watch sought their release.

A federal judge certified a class of investors who accused Sallie Mae, the nation’s leading provider of student loans, of misleading them about the nature of its loan portfolio. U.S. District Judge William Pauley III rejected arguments that the lead plaintiff misrepresented its stock trades.
