LOS ANGELES — A former attorney with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement was sentenced today to 17 years and eight months in federal prison for taking bribes from immigrants.

U.S. District Judge Terry Hatter in Los Angeles also ordered Constantine Kallas, who was assistant chief counsel for the agency in Los Angeles, to pay $296,865 in restitution.
