A new era of defending the boardroom

Last week, three of Washington’s top white-collar defense lawyers sat down with The National Law Journal’s Mike Scarcella to talk about the state of financial fraud enforcement at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Justice Department. The lawyers, W. Neil Eggleston, William McLucas and F. Joseph Warin, discuss the reorganization of the SEC and challenges in negotiating settlements for their clients. The attorneys, who bring decades of experience in government service and private practice, also examine what’s on the horizon — including the clawback of executive compensation under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
