A San Diego jury has found that Sempra Energy did not breach a $6.6 billion contract with the California Department of Water Resources when it failed to complete a power plant on time.
The 2001 contract was one of several intended to stabilize electricity prices following the rolling blackouts that occurred during California’s energy crisis.
