McKenna Long & Aldridge has slashed its incoming associate salaries by $20,000, reducing compensation for first-year lawyers in major cities to $140,000. The law firm initiated the cut, which applies to all incoming associates in each of the firm's 10 offices, to better reflect client needs in the current economy, said McKenna Long chairman Jeff Haidet.
