The law firm job cuts have been unrelenting. On Thursday, Mayer Brown announced that it is laying off 45 attorneys and 90 administrative staffers, making it one of the larger firm downsizings in recent weeks. Hogan & Hartson Chairman J. Warren Gorrell Jr. has confirmed that the firm will lay off 93 staff members across its 13 U.S. offices. The announcements came as stocks continued to rally, bringing some preliminary hope for an economic recovery. But any recovery hasn't come fast enough to save thousands of law firm jobs.
