About 30 law firms have been identified as possible creditors, or as legal counsel for creditors, of the defunct law firm Heller Ehrman, according to court documents filed in the law firm’s bankruptcy case last month.

Lawyers at some of those firms appeared at a Jan. 5 preliminary hearing to select members of the unsecured creditors committee, which is tasked with representing the landlords, services firms and former attorneys and employees, among others, claiming that Heller owes them.
