President Bush today signed into law legislation expanding a student loan forgiveness program for students who become legal aid lawyers, state or local prosecutors, and public defenders. Attorneys eligible to receive the loan repayment benefits under the new program will be allowed $10,000 in benefits per year and $60,000 overall.
