The U.S. Department of Justice and 29 states filed a federal lawsuit against Live Nation and its wholly owned subsidiary Ticketmaster on Thursday seeking the divestiture of the world’s largest ticket marketplace.
The complaint filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York accuses Live Nation and Ticketmaster of engaging in an “ongoing unlawful monopolization of markets across the concert industry” in violation of antitrust law.
