Retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy will release a two-volume set of memoirs this October containing an “inside account” of major cases from abortion to affirmative action during his three decades on the court, according to his publisher.

“Anthony Kennedy was one of the most consequential Supreme Court justices in history,” reads a book teaser on Simon & Schuster’s website. “Now, he offers an inside account of his meteoric rise to Federal bench at age thirty-eight and then long service on the Supreme Court following his nomination by President Reagan in 1987.”
