What appeared to be overwhelming support for the American Bar Association’s proposal to allow fully online law schools to become eligible for provisional and full ABA approval significantly shifted at the eleventh hour.

Numerous comments came in dated March 25, the final day for comments—posted to the ABA’s website late last week—for the 60-day notice and comment period, which the Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar opened in January seeking feedback on the proposed changes to Standard 102 (Provisional Approval) and Standard 306 (Distance Education).
