Sullivan & Cromwell won dismissal of a series of lawsuits hedge funds brought against Argentina seeking payment in a New York federal court for securities issued by the South American country.
U.S. District Judge Loretta Preska of the Southern District of New York ruled that the hedge funds had not met conditions laid out in a “no-action clause” that would enable them to bring the suit.
