A divided U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday granted an emergency request from the Biden administration to reinstate recent restrictions on the sale of internet firearm kits, popularly known as untraceable “ghost guns.”

In an unsigned order, the high court agreed to stay a Texas federal district court judge’s ruling that vacated the regulation nationwide as beyond the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ statutory authority.
