Crews have completed much of their work on a 303-mile liquid natural gas pipeline running through West Virginia, but a final 3.5-mile stretch through the Jefferson National Forest has been tied up in litigation that has now reached the U.S. Supreme Court.

The court is considering Mountain Valley Pipeline LLC’s emergency request to allow construction to begin on the last remaining portion of the pipeline.
