Republican lawmakers’ attacks on Federal Trade Commission Chair Lina Khan’s opposition to big-tech mergers are highly partisan, but it is important for the agency to start winning those cases, antitrust attorneys said Friday.

Khan drew heavy criticism during her appearance Thursday before the GOP-led House Judiciary Committee, with many Republicans noting the agency’s recent courtroom losses in its merger challenges. But the FTC leader’s courtroom record says little about the merits of the agency’s opposition, attorneys said.
