Four of President Joe Biden’s nominees for the federal bench went before the Senate Judiciary Committee Wednesday in what could arguably be called one of the most bipartisan nominations hearing of the 118th Congress. 

“You may have helped heal the relationship between [Sen. John] Kennedy [R-Louisiana] and I and I hope your wisdom will inform some strong actions,” said Sen. Cory Booker, D-New Jersey, after asking Eastern District of Louisiana District Court nominee Brandon S. Long about his holistic approach to handling the opioid crisis from the bench.
