Judge Albert Diaz of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit has became the first Hispanic chief judge to lead the Richmond, Virginia-based appellate court.
On Sunday, Diaz succeeded Judge Roger Gregory, who had held the role of chief judge since 2016.
