Everett Eissenstat, a key trade adviser under the Trump administration, has joined Squire Patton Boggs’ public policy team as a partner in Washington, D.C., as governments increasingly use economic tools to advance national security interests fueling client demand for legal counsel.

Eissenstat served as deputy assistant to the president for international and economic affairs and deputy director of the National Economic Council from 2017 to 2018, acting as then-President Donald Trump’s personal representative and principal negotiator at the G-7, G-20, and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summits.
