A judiciary committee has rejected a former federal magistrate judge’s petition to revisit a judicial misconduct order that found she likely created an abusive workplace environment.

In a decision published last month, the Judicial Conference’s Committee on Judicial Conduct and Disability denied Carmen Garza’s request for the committee to review a September 2022 order from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit’s Judicial Council that detailed an investigation into her alleged hostile behavior.
