The U.S. Supreme Court said Monday that it would consider whether a group of House Democrats have standing to sue the General Services Administration for documents related to former President Donald Trump’s past lease of the Old Post Office building in Washington.

In an order, the Supreme Court said without comment that it would consider whether a 1928 law allows individual members of Congress to sue executive agencies that fail to turn over requested documents. The court will hear arguments next term and is expected to render its decision by July 2024.
