A federal appeals panel seemed unlikely to side with a former Florida state attorney in a challenge to his suspension by Gov. Ron DeSantis. 

Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Attorney Andrew Warren filed his lawsuit in federal court after DeSantis suspended him in an August executive order. The governor, who is widely expected to become a 2024 presidential candidate, claimed the suspension was linked to Warren’s “incompetence and willful defiance of his duties.”
