Amid Big Law’s race for top antitrust talent, Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton has hired Baker & Hostetler partner Ann O’Brien to co-lead its antitrust and competition practice group out of Washington, D.C.

O’Brien most recently led Baker & Hostetler’s cartel and government antitrust investigations task force. She previously spent about two decades at the U.S. Department of Justice, where, as the acting director of criminal enforcement, she was the second highest-ranking career official and highest-ranking woman within the DOJ Antitrust Division’s criminal program.
