In her Senate confirmation hearings next week, U.S. Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson undoubtedly will face a litany of questions involving issues that include criminal defense, sentencing, abortion and recusals.

Groups supporting and opposing Jackson’s nominations teed up issues and concerns shortly after Biden announced her nomination. But there seems on both sides to be a desire to turn down the temperature of recent hearings.
