A federal judge appointed a diverse plaintiffs’ team of more than 30 attorneys in the lawsuits brought over recalled Philips breathing machines, including 10 on a committee aimed at promoting lawyers who are younger or less experienced in multidistrict litigation.

The team includes 18 women and eight attorneys of color. U.S. District Senior Judge Joy Flowers Conti of the Western District of Pennsylvania issued her leadership order Tuesday after spending four days interviewing 75 attorneys via Zoom.
