As the nation’s capital sees COVID cases skyrocket in recent days, fueled largely by the omicron variant, law firm leaders in Washington are either delaying or keeping their return-to-the-office plans fluid to safeguard their staff and attorneys.

Even Congress has been advised to take extra precautions, according to news reports. NPR reports that the Capitol’s attending physician, Brian Monahan, Monday said the Capitol COVID-19 testing center’s seven-day “positivity rate went from less than 1% to greater than 13%” since the end of November.
