Jason Downs, the No. 2 in the District of Columbia Attorney General’s Office, is moving back into private practice, joining Am Law 200 firm Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck.

Downs will arrive Jan. 3 as a partner in Brownstein’s litigation department, and will co-chair the firm’s state attorneys general practice group alongside Jason Dunn, a former deputy attorney general for Colorado and U.S. attorney.
