The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York this week asked a Brooklyn federal judge to sentence Brendan Hunt, a former Office of Court Administration employee convicted of threatening government officials, to 51 to 63 months in prison.

A jury in April found that Hunt, 37, made a true threat of murder when he posted a video titled “Kill Your Senators” shortly after the Jan. 6 insurrection. Hunt is the son of retired Queens Family Court Judge John M. Hunt.
