Lawyers for Michigan officials and the city of Detroit are requesting Sidney Powell, L. Lin Wood and other attorneys behind a failed 2020 election challenge to pay more than $200,000 in attorneys fees over the case.

U.S. District Judge Linda Parker last month ordered the lawyers behind the failed “Kraken” lawsuit, which Powell and others maintained would reveal widespread fraud despite officials finding the election to be secure, to pay the legal costs for the city and state lawyers. An attorney for plaintiffs’ counsel in the case said they would appeal the ruling, but none has been filed as of Thursday.
