For NAACP LDF President Sherrilyn Ifill, some cases simply shouldn’t be up for debate. Brown v. Board of Education is one of them.

Ifill, during a lecture hosted Monday by the National Judicial College, said she found it “very disturbing” when some judicial nominees put forward by the Trump administration wouldn’t say whether they thought the U.S. Supreme Court ruling in the landmark anti-segregation case was correct. She noted that some of the backlash from the nominees’ comments led to future nominees saying they did think the decision was correct.
