The law firm Baker McKenzie has asked a District of Columbia trial judge to order the payment of more than $77,000 in legal fees that are allegedly owed from a lawyer who was a recent owner of the Georgetown mansion where the late U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy lived.

Baker McKenzie sued Catherine Brentzel in June 2020 in D.C. Superior Court, and the firm recently asked a judge to enter a default judgment. Brentzel has not responded to the complaint, according to the law firm. She was not immediately reached for comment Monday, and no lawyer has entered an appearance for her in the case.
